A 12-year-old student is suing a former Diegueño Middle School staffer and the school district for alleged molestation and other related claims.
The lawsuit was filed in San Diego Superior Court against the San Dieguito Union High School District and Omar Hernandez Galeana.
Galeana faces criminal charges for allegedly sexually assaulting the student in March.
Galeana is accused of aggravated sexual assault of a child under 14, forcible lewd acts on a child, and providing cannabis to a minor.
The school district removed Galeana from his position and is cooperating with law enforcement.
Galeana allegedly contacted multiple juveniles via WhatsApp, asking them to delete incriminating messages.

Rubio’s Coastal has been bought by TREW Capital Management for $40 million following its bankruptcy filing, but the future of the taco chain remains uncertain.
Rubio’s Coastal was acquired by TREW Capital Management for $40 million.
The chain now operates 86 locations, down from nearly 200.
The acquisition occurred without the need for an auction due to lack of other bidders.
Pending court approval, the number of operational restaurants remains uncertain.
Financial disclosures show significant liabilities, and further investment is likely needed.

Welcome to the North County Beat!
Welcome to the North County Beat! I have lived in Carlsbad my whole life. Going to college in a vastly different area helped me realize how lucky we have it here in Southern California!
Because of this, I wanted to give back to the community I grew up in and start a local newsletter that would help bring the people of North County together and keep you updated on everything that’s happening in America’s finest city. I take great pride in saying that I’m from San Diego, and you should too.
This is our referral program.
We are trying to grow as fast as possible, and to do that, we are going to incentivize you to do so. Referring people to our newsletter is EASY. Just click the button below, which will be in every email, and share the special link to whoever you like. The URL has a special string which ties it to your name.

Rules For Referral Contest:
